Background
Errin conducted her honours and PhD research in plant cell and molecular biology in the laboratory of Prof Robyn Overall in the School of Biological Sciences. Following her PhD studies, she continued working at the University of Sydney, with positions in the Evolutionary and Ecological Physiology Group and here in the EMU, as a Light and Optical Imaging Specialist. Errin then moved to Sweden, where she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the UmeƄ Plant Science Centre for 2 years.
Role
Errin manages the Biological Specimen Preparation Laboratory. She provides technical support in biological specimen preparation for light and electron microscopy, which covers both the training of users and assistance in problem solving. Errin convenes and lectures in the Biological Preparation Course for TEM and SEM and also instructs users in molecular biology and light/optical imaging.
