The academic and research staff at the Electron Microscope Unit are working on a broad range of active research programs centred on the application of advanced microscopy platforms located in the centre.
Current fields of research include: advanced materials design; development of quantitative analysis techniques for the characterisation of minerals and biological structures; cancer cell movement; the development of correlative microscopy techniques; and nanomaterials and spintronic materials, to name a few.
Research outcomes can range from the development of analysis and characterisation techniques, to the development of materials, to understanding of nanoscale or molecular processes.
