Science in the City

About Science in the City
Science in the City is Sydney's largest science event, culminating in National Science Week. It provides students with a fantastic opportunity to get involved in science and see the huge variety of career opportunities. Science in the City offers science exhibits, shows, workshops and talks for both primary and secondary school students and the public. It takes place at the Australian Museum in city's CBD.

In addition to the expo, many activities including talks, shows and workshops are aimed at specific age groups. Many of these special activities are back by popular demand alongside a number of new presentations. Bookings are essential for these special activities and numbers are limited, so please book early.

The Key Centre at Science in the City
Alongside many other University of Sydney departments, the Key Centre offers a hands-on area with light microscopes and a wide variety of specimen. Come along and share the fascination of the hidden beauty in day-to-day items and materials.

Dates
In 2009, Science in the City will run on 4–6 August and 11–13 August. The first week is for high school students whilst the second week is for primary school students.
